The Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) continues to make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises to connect to and use the electricity network.

In the first four months of this year, AERA has efficiently resolved 541 entrepreneurs’ requests and rejected only 1 request due to insufficient documentation.

In 2019, AERA has resolved 2247 of 2280 customer requests and rejected 33 requests through the Technical Councils.

During 2019, a total of 12 Technical Councils were set up at the “ASAN service” and “ASAN utilities” centers across the country.

Technical Councils were founded as per the second para of the Presidential Decree №1313 dated to the 4th of April, 2017, aiming at the simplification of the procedure for electricity connection of entrepreneurs and underway constructional areas.
