The discussions on the cooperation in energy regulation and the regional market development opportunities between Azerbaijan and Hungary were held at the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA).

Within the framework of the Azerbaijan-Turkey II Energy Forum, there was held a meeting of the “Regulation’ Working Group consisting of the representatives of the Energy Regulatory Agency of Azerbaijan (AERA) and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority of Turkey (EMRA).

The meetings on the second stage of the action plan prepared for the cooperation in 2022 between the AERA and EMRA have been started.

According to the schedule of citizens reception, Samir Akhundov, the Chairman of the Board of the AERA received the citizen.

The chairman of the Board, Samir Akhundov, who opened the meeting with an introductory speech, emphasized the importance of this kind of meetings in terms of strengthening the public relations and establishing a close dialogue between citizens – Public Council – AERA.

The next online meeting was held between the Energy Regulatory Agency of Azerbaijan (AERA) and the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) in line with the two-stage cooperation plan for 2022.

Experts of the Hungarian Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (MEKH) held a seminar for the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) staff about the electricity and natural gas issues. The seminar lasted for two days.

​​​​​​​The meeting provided information on the history of the development of the energy system of both countries and the existing electricity markets.

The staff of the Ministry of Energy and its subordinate organizations participated in the next tree planting action in Khojasan settlement of Binagadi district on the initiative of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources.

Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and Bundesnetzagentur (Federal Network Agency for Electricity, Gas, Telecommunications, Post and Railway) held an online exchange of information meeting with representatives from both sides.
