AERA hosts two-day seminar as part of EU4Energy Phase II

On October 10-11, the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) hosted a seminar for AERA specialists as part of the EU4Energy Phase II Programme – Promoting the Clean Energy Transition in Eastern Partnership Countries, featuring experts from the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER).

During the seminar, CEER experts provided information on tariff design and regulation principles in the EU, dynamic pricing and demand-side flexibility, network tariff methodologies for electricity within the Energy Community, smart metering, and the relevant regulatory and legal frameworks.

The seminar also included presentations on time-of-use (ToU) tariffs, providing participants with detailed information on their application in the household and commercial sectors.

Additionally, a Georgian case study on the feasibility assessment of smart metering rollout was presented.

The seminar concluded with discussions and a question-and-answer session.
