The discussions on the cooperation in energy regulation and the regional market development opportunities between Azerbaijan and Hungary were held at the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA). The meeting was attended by Samir Akhundov, the Chairman of the Board of AERA, Tamas Torma, Ambassador of Hungary to Azerbaijan, Ferenc Matisz, Hungarian expert on energy issues, as well as other representatives of the Embassy of Hungary and the Agency.

During the meeting, Chairman of the Board, Samir Akhundov shared his view on the current state of the regional market in energy regulation and noted the importance of the exchange of experience between the energy regulatory bodies of Azerbaijan and Hungary, as well as the measures implemented within the framework of the "EU4Energy" program.

Having expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation in the energy field between the two countries, Ambassador Tamas Torma said that the implemented joint projects would contribute to the strengthening of cooperation.

The meeting parties exchanged  opinions towards analyzing the existing gaps concerning regulatory aspects of the development of the future regional market and strategies.
