A meeting was held at the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency with the members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Energy. The chairman of the Board, Samir Akhundov, who opened the meeting with an introductory speech, emphasized the importance of this kind of meetings in terms of strengthening the public relations and establishing a close dialogue between citizens – Public Council – AERA.  Furthermore, Samir Akhundov noted that that he highly valued the opinions and proposals given by the members of the Public Council to the relevant draft laws, in accordance with the direction of AERA’S activities, the drafts of normative legal acts and implementation of relevant tasks of the Cabinet of Ministers, protection of consumer rights, citizen appeals provided extensive information to the participants of the meeting regarding the measures implemented in the direction of insuring transparency and prompt response in the investigation.

The Chairman of the Public Council under the Ministry of Energy Jamal Tahirov noted the importance of the public opinion and said that the development of cooperative relations will contribute to the strengthening of relations with the public.

During the meeting, issues of interest of the consumers were brought to the attention of the members of the Public Council and discussions were held in the direction.
