Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan's Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), received Alexei Tara, Director of Moldova's National Agency for Energy Regulation (ANRE). At the meeting, Chairman of the Board Samir Akhundov gave detailed information about the activities of AERA, as well as the reforms implemented in the field of energy regulation in Azerbaijan.

Issues related to the prospects of bilateral cooperation were also discussed during the meeting, which took place in the context of the mutual exchange of views.

ANRE

The National Agency for Energy Regulation of the Republic of Moldova (ANRE) is a regulatory authority, operating since 1997. with the responsibility to regulate and monitor the energy sector (natural gas, electricity, thermal energy, renewable energy, petroleum products) and the water supply and sewerage.

AERA

 The Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) regulates and supervises the supply of electricity, gas and heat. The Agency established by the President’s Decree № 1750 dated December 22, 2017, operates as a public legal entity under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
