A meeting was held between the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan and the French Organization of Entrepreneurs (MEDEF) to expand cooperation in the field of energy between the public and private sectors of Azerbaijan and France. The videoconference chaired by Deputy Energy Minister Elnur Soltanov and General Director of MEDEF International Philippe Gaultier, which was attended by more than 20 companies, was also attended by Azerbaijani Ambassador to France Rahman Mustafayev and French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Zachary Gross.

Rovshan Ismailov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency, also took part in the online meeting.

Assessing the Absheron project as a contribution to the Azerbaijani-French cooperation in the field of energy, the Deputy Minister drew attention to information on the current stage of development of the country's energy sector.

They talked about the work done in the field of renewable energy, energy and energy efficiency, the new legislative framework and the goals set until 2030. It was noted that there is great potential for cooperation in the field of renewable energy.

Then the presentation “Investment Opportunities in the Energy Sector of Azerbaijan” was shown and answers were given to the questions of businessmen.

It should be noted that MEDEF International has been cooperating with Azerbaijan since 1992.
