Another meeting was held between experts from the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) of Turkiye as part of the 2024 Inter-Forum Action Plan of the 3rd Azerbaijan-Turkiye Energy Forum’s “Regulation” Working Group.

During the meeting, EMRA’s energy specialist Ahmet Gök made a presentation on “Independent Consumers and the Mechanism of Energy Supplier Selection,” detailing the structure of Turkiye’s electricity market and the role of independent consumers. He also shared Turkiye’s experience and legal framework regarding the selection of electricity suppliers by independent consumers.

The meeting concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session.
