Working Party on improvement of the heating supply system in Azerbaijan held another meeting

The Working Party on the elaboration of proposals for reforms to improve the heating supply system and match the needs of consumers gathered for the next meeting. The Deputy Minister of Energy Samir Valiyev, the Chairman of the Board at the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) Samir Akhundov, the Deputy Chairman at the "Azeristiliktajhizat" Open Society Ilham Mirzaliyev and representatives of the Germany-based VPC company were among the participants.     

In the framework of the meeting, "Azeristiliktajhizat" OS provided its mid-term report on complete diagnostics and recommendations. Some points including the current state of the heating supply system, data, analysis of losses, registration of heating energy, environmental effects, tariff issues, renewable energy for heating purposes, diagnostics – energy effectiveness and other things were reflected in the report. The participants actively discussed the summary of the mid-term report provided by the VPC company, as well. They shared various thoughts by proposing ideas on the improvement of the heating supply system and matching the demands of consumers.

As a part of the Measurement Plan on implementation of tasks originated from the Executive Order №1209 “On acceleration of reforms in the field of energy in Azerbaijan” dated back to the 29th of May, 2019, and signed by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the relevant Working Party was created to collect proposals for reforms on improvement of the heating supply system and matching the demands of consumers.
