AERA represented at Final Regional Conference of EU4Energy Project Phase II

Leyla Jafarova, Head of the Legal Support and Analytics Division at the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), participated in the panel discussions titled “Energy Sector Reforms, Challenges and Opportunities for Sustainable Energy Development in the Eastern Partnership Region” as part of the Final Regional Conference of the EU4Energy Project Phase II on Promoting the Clean Energy Transition in the Eastern Partnership Countries, held in Brussels on June 24.

Organized by the Council of European Energy Regulators (CEER), the event aimed to discuss the achievements and experience gained from the implementation of the EU4Energy Project Phase II, as well as to identify opportunities for further collaboration and cooperation in the energy sector.

The conference discussed enhancing the energy regulatory environment, decarbonization in the Eastern Partnership countries, energy transition and market integration, the efficient and sustainable heat supply, and importance of energy sector cybersecurity regulation. In addition, views were exchanged on the future outlook of the EU4Energy Phase III.
