The Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) Public Union held a meeting to discuss mechanisms for providing preferential loans and explore opportunities for cooperation with banks within the scope of activities of the Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF).

The online meeting, attended by representatives from AERA and ABA member organizations, discussed the mechanisms for using the EEF funds, procedures for providing preferential loans, the role of authorized credit organizations, and the directions of activities envisaged within the mutual cooperation. 

The meeting emphasized the importance of transparent and effective organization of the process, as well as the active participation of the banking sector in this initiative.

The Energy Efficiency Fund was established by Decree No. 13 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated March 1, 2024. The purpose of EEF’s establishment is to stimulate and promote the efficient use of energy resources and the implementation of energy efficiency measures.
