Seminar for entrepreneurs organized through joint cooperation of AERA and KOBIA

An awareness-raising seminar was held as part of the “Entrepreneur Hour” project through the joint cooperation of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA). The event was attended by contractors operating in the fields of electricity and gas supply, as well as representatives of Azerigas Production Union.

At the event held at the Baku SMB House, Elmar Isayev, Head of the KOBIA Secretariat, and Malik Muradzade, Acting Director of the Energy Regulation and Monitoring Department of AERA, emphasized the importance of organizing joint seminars and roundtable discussions with various institutions to inform entrepreneurs. It was highlighted that such events are beneficial for raising awareness among entrepreneurs about the work being done in the relevant sector and the requirements of legislation, as well as for fostering collaboration between state institutions and entrepreneurs.

Afterwards, Vugar Hashimov, Senior Specialist of the Energy Monitoring Section of AERA’s Energy Regulation and Monitoring Department, delivered a presentation on “Services Provided by the Agency and Procedures for Connecting to the Power Grid”, while Agharza Aliyev, Lead Specialist of the Inspection and Technical Service Monitoring Section of the same department, presented on “Implementation of Inspection and Technical Services in the Gas Supply Sector, and Issuance of Specialist Certificates.”

At the end of the event, questions from entrepreneurs were answered, and broad discussions were held on the presented topics.
