Specialists from the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority of Turkiye (EPDK) held an online meeting as part of the 2024 Inter-Forum Action Plan of the 3rd Azerbaijan-Turkiye Energy Forum’s “Regulation” Working Group.

During the session, EPDK’s energy specialist Mert Demir delivered a presentation titled “Energy Market Notification System”. He highlighted that under Turkish legislation, the regulation of energy charging services falls within EPDK’s authority. Demir outlined the efforts undertaken by the Turkish regulatory body to enhance this system.

Furthermore, he provided detailed information on the entry, systematization and processing of data related to electricity and gas supply, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and other relevant areas. Demir also talked about the monthly and annual market reports that are accessible to the public, giving details on their structure.
