Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), the Ministry of Energy and the German-Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce (AHK Azerbaijan) held an online meeting joined by a delegation from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), as well as representatives of German companies operating in the oil and gas sector.

Welcoming the participants of the meeting, Chairman of the Board of the AERA Samir Akhundov noted that significant work is being done in Azerbaijan to develop energy regulation.He spoke about the existing and planned projects in the field of renewable energy, oil and gas. He also noted the interest in bilateral cooperation between Germany and Azerbaijan in this field.

Executive Director of AHK in Azerbaijan in Azerbaijan Tobias Baumann informed about the main conditions for establishing business and investment climate in Azerbaijan, as well as cultural ties between the two countries.

Representatives of German oil and gas companies made presentations about their products and services and answered questions about development trends, tenders and opportunities for cooperation.
