On September 3, 2019, the Technical Council started operating in Sabirabad and Imishli "ASAN Service" centers. Representatives of the Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), "ASAN Service" and "Azerishig" OJSC took part in the event. Director of the AERA Energy Regulation and Monitoring Department Parviz Aliyev said that the purpose of creating the Technical Council is to further simplify the process of connecting small and medium-sized enterprises of the region to the power grid.

These measures were approved by the Order of the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov dated July 22, 2019 on changes in the composition of the existing Technical Councils and the formation of new Technical Councils in the "ASAN Kommunal" and "ASAN Service" centers in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated April 4, 2017 .

Also, these measures are aimed at improving the business environment in the Republic of Azerbaijan and further improving the position of our country in international rankings.

The easier access of entrepreneurs to power grids for more efficient organization of their activities is reflected in the methodologies of international indices, and Azerbaijan's position on the indicator “Access to electricity (easy connection)” in the authoritative international report “Doing Business” has improved compared to the past.

It should be noted that until today the connection of entrepreneurs to the electric network was carried out in the centers "ASAN Kommunal" No. 1, "ASAN Kommunal" No. 2, Sumgait "ASAN Service", Ganja "ASAN Service".

The Energy Regulatory Agency is a public legal entity established under the Ministry of Energy by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1750 dated December 22, 2017. Electricity and gas supply, as well as heat energy are the main directions of the Agency's activities. AERA is an associate member of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA).
