In the third quarter of 2025, the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) received a total of 3,558 appeals, both directly and through the Ministry of Energy, concerning consumer rights protection, the supply of electricity, heat and natural gas, and other matters. Of these appeals, 3,236 were related to electricity supply, including 504 of informational nature. There were 251 appeals regarding natural gas supply, with 36 of them being informational. The Agency received a total of 14 appeals regarding heat supply, including 6 of informational nature. Meanwhile, 57 appeals concerned other issues, with 10 of them being informational.

In September 2025, the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) received a total of 921 appeals, both directly and through the Ministry of Energy, concerning consumer rights protection, the electricity and natural gas supply, and other matters. Of these appeals, 819 were related to electricity supply, including 149 of informational nature. There were 84 appeals regarding natural gas supply, with 8 of them being informational. The Agency received a total of 2 appeals regarding heat supply. Meanwhile, 16 appeals concerned other issues, with 2 of them being informational.

On September 30, the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) hosted a meeting with a visiting World Bank delegation, led by Robert van der Geest, Senior Gas Specialist.

In May 2025, the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) received a total of 660 appeals, both directly and through the Ministry of Energy, concerning consumer rights protection, the supply of electricity, heat and natural gas, and other matters. Of these appeals, 574 were related to electricity supply, including 94 of informational nature. There were 70 appeals regarding natural gas supply, with 10 of them being informational. The Agency received 8 appeals regarding heat supply. Meanwhile, 8 appeals concerned other issues.

On June 4, Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), participated in the plenary session titled “Electricity Generation and Grid Infrastructure Development: Powering Tomorrow’s World” at the 30th Anniversary Baku Energy Forum, held on June 3-4 at the Baku Convention Center as part of Baku Energy Week.

The Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) and the Azerbaijan Banks Association (ABA) Public Union held a meeting to discuss mechanisms for providing preferential loans and explore opportunities for cooperation with banks within the scope of activities of the Energy Efficiency Fund (EEF).
