Black Sea Regulatory Initiative joint workshop to start in Budapest

On the 13th of May, 2019, the next technical workshop of the Black Sea Regulatory Initiative organised by the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) and the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) started in Budapest.  The NARUC experts and the representatives of European and American regulators, as well as the Black Sea countries joined this three-day workshop funded by the USAID.

During the roundtable for participants from the Black Sea countries arranged in the framework of the workshop named “Additional services and balancing” were discussed efforts for getting technical and detailed information which is urgent in terms of valorisation. The discussion of additional services and valorisation based on expenses for balancing are also being held in the capital of Hungary. It should be noted that this mechanism implies the initiative for taking transnational steps in the region and balancing of the markets.

Experts fulfill group tasks and join the presentations at the roundtables. Participants talk about the subregional initiatives and success stories. The official representative of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) which is an associative member of the ERRA  also attends the events within the frames of the workshop.
