On October 20th, Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA), Samir Akhundov presented certificates and medals of "Honored power engineer of the CIS" to the chief specialist of AERA's technical and regulatory regulation division, Sabina Ahmadova, the leading specialist of that division, Elmin Khalilov, and to the chief inspector of Sumgayit branch, Shirzad Mammadov.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the Board Samir Akhundov noted the development of the energy sector of Azerbaijan and the importance of measures implemented in this area. He said that Azerbaijan has already become a reliable energy provider for Europe. The measures planned under the "Social and Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2022-2026" will further strengthen the strategic role of Azerbaijan in the energy supply, as well as will support the improvement of the regulatory environment in the energy sector.

Samir Akhundov thanked the employees for their effective activities and contributions in the field of energy, congratulated them on their professional holiday and wished them success in their work.
