The German business delegaton led by the Ministry of Economics, Transportation, Agriculture and Viticulture of the Rheinland-Pfalz bundesland visited the Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency(AERA) headquarters in the frame of its business trip to Azerbaijan. On the 16th of August the guests met with the AERA Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Samir Akhundov.    

After greetings, Mr. Akhundov told about the fields of activity of the newly-established Agency, achievements reached within a short period of time, as well as draft laws and amendments expected to enter into force. While talking about features of the newly-formed energy market, Mr. Akhundov emphasized the necessity of the alternative and renewable energy sources and involvment of foreign investors in the energy field.

The head of German delegation Mr. Franz Seiβ thanked to the AERA Chairman of the Board on behalf of the Ministry of Economics, Transportation, Agriculture and Viticulture of Rheinland-Pfalz. He presented the detailed information on the German experience in different areas, as well as energy field. During the meeting, representatives of the various German companies shared their best practices with the Azerbaijani counterparts. They provided German samples on activities in the fields of oil industry, construction infrastructure, complex solutions of unique patents etc. The meeting based on the mutual experience sharing was wrapped up by making decision to strengthen bilateral relations.
