Meeting held at AERA with World Bank delegation

The Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency (AERA) hosted a meeting with a delegation from the World Bank’s Global Flaring and Methane Reduction Partnership (GFMR) program, which was visiting Azerbaijan.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of AERA’s Management Board Samir Akhundov, World Bank senior gas specialist and delegation leader Robert van der Geest, as well as other delegation members and AERA employees.

Discussions at the meeting focused on the current and forthcoming legislation relating to gas losses and methane emissions during gas transportation and within gas distribution networks.

Additionally, the parties exchanged views on topics of mutual interest.
