Azerbaijan Energy Regulatory Agency joined the voluntary blood donation campaign on 17 April.

The event, which came as part of support to philanthropic and kind initiative of Azerbaijan’s first Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, was organised at the National Hematology and Transfusiology Research Center named after Bahadur Eyvazov, during which AERA’s employees donated blood.

During the campaign hematologists at first checked-up the donors, then the volunteers have been accepted to join the campaign in line with their health conditions. 

Azerbaijan’s first Vice-President and the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva’s initiative encourages organisations and entities to support patients suffering from thalassemia, hemophilia and leukemia diseases especially over the course of the quarantine regime against the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19). 

As part of AERA’s responsibility towards the society, the Agency regularly participates in many charity and public projects and events. We actively lend a hand to the people who are in dire need of blood donation especially during the coronavirus lockdown.
